AUNÓS, Eduardo.- UNPUBLISHED DICTIONARY PROJECT FOR THE SPANISH LANGUAGE. Huge volume of handwritten pages that constitute an unpublished dictionary project carried out by Eduardo Aunós; it is preserved in 15 folders, containing all the letters of the alphabet.
We find little information about this project that, although it seems to be finished, never saw the light of day.
It preserves two pages (typewritten copy) of "Notes for the prologue", with Aunós's autograph notes: "We have improved the clarity of the definitions in many words, without altering the meaning given to them by the Academy. / With a + are marked those words that the Academy rejects, or that do not belong to our language, but that, nevertheless, illustrate modern phraseology...".
It includes another folder with the "Dictionary of select works", incomplete, which begins on folio 201 in the letter "E" and ends on folio 616 in the letter "R", and a complete index of this dictionary. Up to folio 286 it is a typewritten document, and from there, it is an autograph manuscript document by Eduardo Aunós.
