Spanish School 17th Century Jesus child

"Saint John and the Child Jesus". Pair of polychrome and gilded wood carvings. Light complexion with brown hair topped by the usual bowknot influenced by the works of Juan Martinez Montañés. One of them carries a silver cross and looks at the sky. The other looks down. Eyes in vitreous paste. The carvings are presented on bases as a cushion. 88 and 91 cm high
