[LOZANO Y CASELA, Pablo].- "ANTIQUES OF GRANADA AND CÓRDOBA" [Cádiz: Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, ca. 1780] Large folio, without enc. Frontis 1 h. Text + Port. engraved + 30 lam. engraved, 14 of them folded, on excellent quality paper. It has an old handwritten annotation at the bottom of the port. This is one of the first works undertaken by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, which after its foundation in 1752, was assigned the task of documenting and studying the monuments of ancient times that had outstanding historical value. At the time, there was also a fascination for the Arab heritage and the mark it had left on the monumental heritage of the peninsula. Offered without vol.
