The Pamplona Bible (facsimile)

"THE BIBLE OF PAMPLONA".- The original of which is preserved in the Library of the University of Augsburg. Editorial Eikon. 4th, full leather on board, dry embossed with linear decoration and closures. Preserved in case ed. next to the vol. of studies. Numbered notarial act limited to 995 copies. Pictorial manuscript consisting of 271 parchment pages, with 61 pgs. decorated with gold leaf, and a total of 976 individual scenes. It is the medieval manuscript with the largest number of miniatures that has been preserved. It is special for its structure in large vignettes, with very little text, and for the originality and vitality of its miniatures drawn with a fine pen and colored with watercolors in soft tones.
