Painted cuts. 2 p.m. + XIV + 408 pages + 22 folded plates (the last two with restoration on paper) Pagination error, but complete copy. Moisture stain on the inner margin, without affecting the text, and slightly on the port. Some slight mottling, but mostly very good clean paper. First edition, very rare. Not in BNE. Palau 380316: "Zerella was Ferdinand VI''s chamber watchmaker and having studied all the secrets of this noble art in Geneva, he came to Spain and published his work with the hope of creating a Watchmaking School and a Factory that would compete with those of France and England. He explains a device of his invention to mince music cylinders, a secret that was jealously guarded by the watchmakers of the time".
