Mexican silver chalice circa 1740

Chalice made of punched viceregal silver, in its color and gilded. With locality marks from Mexico, artist possibly Manuel Benítez de Aranda, assayer Diego González de la Cueva and fiscal mark of the eagle. The entire faceted piece, with rich work of embossing and chiselling of plant motifs, gallons and scallops. Multiple heads of angels in relief. Viceroyalty of New Spain, Mexico, circa 1740.
