Extraordinary Sevillian Nativity scene in polychrome clay. Century XVIII. Made by an artist close to the barrista Pedro Gaitán, active at the beginning of the 18th century. It is a set of great interest for preserving the original assembly, without subsequent modifications. Mounted in an urn-showcase on white patinated cabriole legs and framed by scrolls of carved and gilded wood. It closes with a polychrome wooden lid with original fittings.
The center of the composition is occupied by a group of musical angels around the manger grotto with the representation of the Mystery. Washerwomen, shepherds and an endless number of characters make up beautiful traditional scenes with a great profusion of details. In the upper zone the three Wise Men on horseback and in the background the representation of the cities of Écija, Carmona and Seville.
Good state of conservation.
