It contains daily annotations, accounting data, what appear to be drafts for chronicles, lists and their dates, etc. Sunday February 26: "I have eaten tonight with the Dukes of Frías, to exchange some impressions about the king''s trip to Rome. On this point we must all be insistent with the King". Julián Cortés Cavanillas, born in 1909, was general secretary of the ABC newsroom, and its head of political relations. Throughout his life he was a contributor to the newspapers La Nación, La Correspondencia Militar, Ya and Diario de Barcelona. For 21 years he was a correspondent for ABC in Rome. Attached are a pair of original negatives and an invitation card to the reception at the Ritz on the occasion of the birth of His Majesty the Emperor, by the Ambassador of Japan and Mrs. Sato.
