*Juan Francisco de Leyza (1700-1747)

Born in Spain, in the town of Aoiz, in Pamplona. He was a priest in the Temple of the Mother of God in Madrid; Doctor of Sacred Theology and Member of the Senate of the University of Alcalá and Opponent of its Chairs.

From the year 1739 to the year 1747 he held the position of Titular Bishop of Geras (possibly referring to the town of Geras de Gordón in Leon) and Auxiliary Bishop of Tlaxcala-Puebla, in Mexico, where he died.
