Spanish School, second half of the 15th Century.

"Santa Clara triptych". Large Gothic triptych from the second half of the 15th century. Made in tempera on canvas. Relined.



The work is inventoried and reproduced in the Monumental and Artistic Catalog of the Province of Badajoz by José Ramón Mélida, made between 1907 and 1912. The triptych belonged to the Convent of Santa Clara in Zafra, founded in 1428 by the first Lord of Fair and his wife Elvira Laso de Mendoza.
