17-18th C. Flemish School. Cupid

"Cupid". Oil on canvas. Relined.

The work represents a fragment of the work Frigid Venus by Pedro Pablo Rubens (1577-1640) preserved in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp (Inv No.: 709).

In the complete work, Cupid is represented covered under the cloak of Venus, and in the background a satyr loaded with cereals and grapes.
