Harpocrates bronze statue. low period

Bronze statue of Harpocrates (child Horus), represented seated, naked, with feet resting on a trapezoidal base, with the index finger raised over the lips and the left hand extended. He wore a headdress of nemes with a side ponytail (symbol of youth) and central uraeus, surmounted by a hemhem crown (ostrich feathers on ram''s horns). Harpocrates is the Greek name by which the Egyptian deity Horpajard or Harpajered is known, the name of the child god Horus in Alexandria. The Greeks adopted him as a god of silence. It also symbolizes the dawn or winter sun, and constant renewal.
