A French ormolu-mounted Sèvres-Style garniture

Important French garrison. Paris, late 19th century. Made up of a tabletop clock with rotating rings and two decorative balustraded amphoras. Made of Sèvres-style porcelain, in aquamarine tone, mounted on gilt bronze.

Set with numerous golden enamels creating plant elements and garlands that, together with successions of pearl enamels, form cartouches painted inside with mythological scenes on the obverse and bouquet of flowers on the reverse. Gilt bronze mounts with abundant vegetal and floral decoration. Base of the clock flanked by two seated putti. Handles in the shape of acanthus leaves, and lid topped by three putti with grapes and vine leaves.

Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Machinery Paris, signed Barreau, with chime of hours and a half. Wrench. Need review. Minimal flaws in the pearl. A loose leg. 69 x 54.5 x 21.5 cm (clock); 59 x 25 x 22 cm (amphoras)
