Guerrilla Girls. Dearest Eli Broad (2008)

"Dearest Eli Broad (2008)". Offset on pink paper.

The work of the Guerrilla Girls is always conceived in a political and protest environment. Formed as a collective, they played a fundamental role in vindicating the role of women and minorities within the world of art. Their works are usually accompanied by data extracted from the collections of important museums -mostly North American- that they transform into political messages through the use of pop language.

Despite having great importance at an academic and curatorial level, it is difficult to find work by the Guerrilla Girls in the secondary art market circuits.

Other copies of the same print run are kept at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Van Abbemuseum, the Art Gallery of New South Wales or the Tate Modern (reference: L03727) among many others.

The piece is referenced on the collective''s website (guerrillagirls.com). 27.9 × 21.6cm
