A baroque guitar, circa 1660

Very rare and unique baroque guitar with five courses circa 1660. Soundbox in Brazilian rosewood bands with maple threads, and a central mahogany band. Pine top, mouth with geometric marquetry and original latticework in Gothic style on two levels, made of parchment. Also decorated with two double-headed eagles in marquetry from the House of Austria, one on the fingerboard and another under the bridge. It also retains its original capo and machine heads, and early gut string binding frets; as well as two small ivory buttons, one at the bottom of the earrings and another on the left side of the head. MLN restored the bottom in 1986, matching the decoration of the rings. Custom luxury case. 100 x 9 x 27.5cm
