Vine ceramic Greco Hellenist

"Greek-Hellenistic ceramic wine jug, 300 BC". The ancient Greeks drank wine mixed with water and used goatskin barrels and ceramic amphoras for its conservation and transfer. The importance of wine in Greece became of paramount importance when it was attributed a divine origin and its creator Dionysus became part of the Hellenic pantheon on Mount Olympus.

Good state of preservation.
