Jose Maria Blanco Folgueira. Madrid bread house

Interesting documentary set belonging to Mr. José María Blanco Folgueira, distinguished National Head of the Bakery Group. It consists of:

- Chest made of walnut and carved boxwood and embossed leather. With a sober Spanish flavor, it ends in the figure of Ceres, in memory of the veneration felt by the peoples towards Mother Earth. In the four corners, four female figures can be seen carrying the breads of Spain: Castilian loaf, Galician borona, Andalusian rosca and Levantine bar. These figures frame the general decoration of the casket, in embossed and polychrome leather. They show scenes from the 18th century: "The baker from Alcalá de Sevilla" and "Zamora. Aventando", "Transportation of flour in the Basque Country" and "The harvest in Salamanca".

- Leather album embossed with silver decorations. Decorated on the lid with the four elements, fire, earth, water and air. On the reverse, the National Coat of Arms framed by four silver poppy-like nails. The cuts, golden and chiseled, richly decorated with scenes of the cooking process and the weight of the bread in the Manchego manner. Inside, profusely decorated with scenes from the Old Testament, paragraphs from Don Quixote and signatures and acknowledgments of personalities from the Bakery Industry and from the time.

- Parchment copy of the Order of awarding the silver medal for Merit at Work. With seal of the Virgin of Mercy.
