Joseph Kosuth. Zero & Not Fur (1989)

"Zero & Not Fur (1989)". Silkscreen and dry stamp on paper.

The work Zero & Not was Kosuth''s first work from the 1980s to incorporate the architecture of the place where it was exhibited as an integrating element in the work. The rooms where it was exhibited formed part of the language as a syntactic element, making the viewer have to decipher the exposed text in the face of grammatical and architectural obstacles, once again questioning the concept of "reading".

The present work is part of the installation that took place in Lion, Stuttgart, New York, Ghent, and finally in the Sigmund Freud House in Vienna.
