A French silver coffee set by Odiot Circa 1880

Exquisite coffee and tea set made of hallmarked French silver, 950 law. From the Odiot manufactory, by Jean-Baptiste Gustave Odiot. It consists of a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and jug. All this on a tray. The sugar bowl and the jug, gilt on the inside.

Decoration chiseled and embossed by hand in neoclassical taste. Borders with plant motifs of palmettes and rosettes within geometric garlands. Scenes with children playing with birds. The tray, decorated with acanthus and engraved tondo. Handles decorated with two children''s figures each. All pieces numbered.

France, circa 1870. Weight: 14,800 gr. 85 x 62 cm tray. 26 cm high the coffee pot.
