Minor 4th, full leather with vegetable gilt wheel on the planes and rosettes in the corners, irons, ribs and triple gilt on the spine. golden cuts. Box of the same decoration. Numbered notarial deed of a circulation of 987 copies. Accompanies study volume. 482 pgs. illuminated and 75 full-page miniatures. The miniatures in this volume are the work of Gerard Horenbout, the best miniaturist of the s. XVI; perhaps for this reason it is considered the most beautiful Book of Hours produced by flamenco art. The sumptuousness of the manuscript suggests that it was a royal commission; It is believed that Margarita de Austria gave it to Juana la Loca for her wedding with Felipe el Hermoso.
