Miguel Caravaca. Cryptopela#2. NFTs

Cryptopela#2 1024 x 1080

Smartcontract 0x495f947276749Ce646f68AC8c248420045cb7b5e

Piece belonging to the well-known and successful Cryptopelas series, famous for being the first solo exhibition showing analogue works in acrylic on canvas and NFT. Cryptopelas is conceived as a hybrid collection with analogue works made in acrylic and enamel on canvas and NFTs created entirely digitally on a blank document and drawn with the mouse. The collection is numbered and makes a nod to philately, to the tradition of collecting and to the now-defunct pesetas. These traditional elements unite them with cryptocurrency, the currency of the future and digital art in its most avant-garde version, the NFT.

Miguel Caravaca has exhibited Cryptopelas in Madrid at the IWC boutique and in Marbella during the Global Gift Foundation gala where the only NFT of this series (Cryptopela#1) that the artist has put up for sale was auctioned.

After the success of the sale of all the analog pictorial works of this series in the IWC space in Madrid, Miguel Caravaca exclusively presents copy number 2 of the Cryptopelas series.

Miguel Caravaca

Miguel Caravaca (Madrid, 1979) is a plastic artist who usually works with acrylic on canvas to which he adds different textures based on enamels, tempera markers or even oil sticks. Influenced by cubism, pop art, street art and expressionism but without taking his eyes off classical painting, he introduces references to collage in his latest works and shows special attention to typography as a differentiating element of his work. His painting appeals to the large format and the importance of color to achieve the dynamism of his lively lines.

In 2020, he began to create NFTs, being one of the pioneering Spanish artists in incorporating their works into digital language.
