"Ceramic Phiale. Apulia S. IV a. c.". Large red-figure ceramic phiale on a black background. Circular in shape, with two handles and three buttons on each side. On one foot. On the obverse, a scene with characters in different attitudes, two male, one female and one winged. Scene framed in a tondo decorated with animal motifs, palmettes, geometric fretwork and plant garlands. On the reverse, two scenes with characters surrounded by profuse decoration of palmettes and geometric fretwork. With later restorations. Magna Graecia, Apulia, mid-4th century BC. c. 54cm in diameter
