Travel along the shores of the Mediterranean

"YNSTRUCTION SQUAD. JOURNEY THROUGH THE COASTS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN LEADING HM THE KING.- "Blanca" frigate. It begins on February 24, 1877 and ends on February 12, 1878" Unpublished manuscript. 4th landscape, hol. smooth spine. Manuscript navigation log of the frigate of the Spanish navy called Blanca through the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Cantabrian seas during the years 1877 and 1878, carrying King Alfonso XII with it. The diary is written by the Navy officer Martín Costa and contains in his own handwriting all the navigation data of the voyages. In turn, the newspaper is illustrated with six drawings of the frigate with all its nautical and military characteristics. The Blanca frigate was a warship built in Ferrol with mixed steam and sail propulsion. It participated in the colonial wars of Spain in America, during the II Carlist War and had missions to bombard the coasts of Biscay and later became a training ship for the Navy. He was the predecessor of the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano whose first mast bears his name in his memory.
