"Retrato de D. José Terrers y Mas (circa 1820)". Oil on canvas. Work traditionally attributed to Vicente López Portaña. It is also proposed that it is the work of José de Madrazo y Agudo (painted at the age of 40 before becoming Director of the Prado Museum) or Rafael Tejeo, as the resource of the head outline is characteristic of this author although it is in He is dimmer and their faces are somewhat flatter than that of Doctor Terrers. This work is characteristic of Spanish neoclassicism: unguarded background, frugal costumes, head and face highlighted by a halo of back light. 121 x 89 cm
