Alabaster cananite jug

"Canaanite alabaster jar, 1850-1550 BC". The relationship of the Canaanite people with the ancient Egyptians is notorious, this jug made of alabaster, a material used in ancient Egypt, and of high quality, especially for grave goods. Alabaster is one of the most precious stones, but less used by the Canaanites, who used to make their terracotta vessels. Surely, used as grave goods or as part of a set of ritual containers, due to its depth it could have contained high-quality wine, oil or ointments, which were available in this type of material since alabaster is cooler than terracotta.

Good state of conservation.
