Wine jug red clay 1000-586 BC

Reddish terracotta wine jug from the II Iron Age of the Israelite period (1000-586 BC). The piece that concerns us is of a simple design and its ovoid-type body presents traces of decoration in white. It has a wide mouthpiece and a circular type handle. The close link between wine and terracotta is due to its great capacity for thermal insulation and allows the perfect preservation of wine. 17.5 x 13.5cm
